Dit is een van de twee kleuren waarmee de 1906R in augustus 2022 debuteerde, gestyled door Akio Hasegawa. Het metallic goud tegen het zilver is wat deze uitvoering van alle latere onderscheidt: daarna ging New Balance vrijwel volledig over op zilver en grijs.

Waarom deze schoen

De 1906R deelt zijn zool met de 2002R en de 860v2. New Balance schrijft er zelf over: een combinatie van flexibele ACTEVA LITE-demping, schokabsorberende N-ergy en gesegmenteerde ABZORB SBS-pods in de hiel. Daar bovenop een TPU-hielkooi en het Stability Web onder de zool. Bovenwerk is mesh met synthetische overlays.

Het goud zit in de details, niet over de hele schoen, dus hij blijft draagbaar bij alles wat je al hebt. Bij crème en beige komt het warmer over, bij zwart juist scherper.
