Uitgebracht in december 2024. Het bovenwerk heeft een spiegelende chroombasis waar subtiele blauwgroene accenten overheen lopen, met gitzwarte Tiger Stripes over wit mesh. Fjord Grey is geen grijs dat stil blijft: afhankelijk van het licht trekt hij naar groen of juist naar staal.

Waarom deze schoen

Onder dat chroom zit de standaardopbouw van de Gel-Kayano 14: mesh met gelaagd synthetisch leer, en daaronder wat ASICS zelf omschrijft als GEL-technologie onder de voet voor geavanceerde schokabsorptie. Het TRUSSTIC-systeem in de zool houdt het geheel lichter dan het eruitziet. De retro staat op de originele tooling uit 2008.

De blauwgroene ondertoon doet het goed bij denim en bij alles wat grijs is. Wil je dat het accent ook echt gezien wordt, hou de rest dan rustig.
