Uitgebracht in oktober 2024. Ondanks de naam is dit geen tonale uitvoering: er zit juist een lichte tussenzool onder, en dat contrast is precies wat hem doet werken.

Waarom deze schoen

Zwart mesh als basis, met marineblauw suède als overlay en zilverkleurige synthetische accenten daartussen. Daaronder een gebroken witte tussenzool. De Gel-NYC is uit drie ASICS-schoenen samengesteld: het bovenwerk van de GEL-NIMBUS 3 uit begin jaren 2000, de details van de GEL-MC PLUS V en de zool van de GEL-CUMULUS 16, met GEL-inzetstukken in hiel en voorvoet.

Zo draag je hem

Donkerblauw op zwart is rustiger dan het klinkt en past bij bijna evenveel als zwart. Bij denim, bij grijs, bij een donkere jas. De lichte zool houdt hem net van saai af.
