Dit is de enige Gel-NYC zonder één accentkleur. Alles is crème, van het mesh tot de zool, en juist daardoor is het de uitvoering die nergens tegenin gaat. ASICS bracht hem uit in februari 2025.

Waarom deze schoen

De Gel-NYC is uit drie ASICS-schoenen samengesteld. Het bovenwerk komt van de GEL-NIMBUS 3 uit begin jaren 2000, de details van de GEL-MC PLUS V, en de zool van de GEL-CUMULUS 16. ASICS schrijft er zelf bij dat de overlays zijn uitgevoerd in two-tone suede overlays for a premium finish. Onder je voet zit een dubbellaagse EVA-tussenzool met GEL-inzetstukken in hiel en voorvoet, dus hardloopdemping onder een schoen die je de hele dag aanhoudt.

Zo draag je hem

Crème op crème werkt bij alles wat je aanhebt en vraagt nergens om. Bij jeans, bij zwart, bij een korte broek. Het soort paar dat je 's ochtends pakt zonder erover na te denken.
