Deze komt uit het Neon Nights Pack, waarin New Balance de 9060 uit zijn gebruikelijke grijstinten haalde. Het is de tegenpool van de zwarte en beige uitvoeringen waar dit model om bekendstaat.

Waarom deze schoen

De vorm blijft die van de 9060, en die is nadrukkelijk gebouwd. New Balance zelf: het model herinterpreteert bekende 99X-elementen met een vervormde inslag, geinspireerd op de nadrukkelijk futuristische, zichtbare techniek-esthetiek van het Y2K-tijdperk. Het tonglogo verwijst naar het lace jewel van de 991, het profiel onder de zool naar de 860, en in de middenzool zitten ABZORB en SBS boven elkaar. Mesh met suede overlays.

Hou de rest rustig, dan doet de schoen het werk. Bij zwart of donkergrijs komt de kleur het hardst binnen.
