Deze zit in de eerste reeks die ASICS van de Gel-NYC uitbracht en is sindsdien nooit uit het assortiment verdwenen. Crème met oestergrijs is de uitvoering die de meeste mensen voor zich zien als ze aan dit model denken.

Waarom deze schoen

Een crèmewit bovenwerk van synthetisch en leer met ademende mesh-panelen, een textielvoering en een rubberen buitenzool. De Gel-NYC is uit drie ASICS-schoenen samengesteld: het bovenwerk komt van de GEL-NIMBUS 3 uit begin jaren 2000, de details van de GEL-MC PLUS V en de zool van de GEL-CUMULUS 16. Die laatste zorgt voor de demping, met GEL-inzetstukken in hiel en voorvoet.

Het grijs zit precies waar het moet, dus hij oogt lichter dan hij vuil wordt. Bij jeans, bij beige, bij grijs. De kleur waar je op uitkomt als je er één moet kiezen.
